Hessisch Oldendorf

First of all my congratulations to the whole team. It was a fantastic weekend in Hessisch Oldendorf. For me it was my first visit to this meeting. We left Thursday morning at 8h to Hessisch Oldendorf and we arrived there around 16h. After a journey of about 530km without trouble. The only problem I had was not enough time to check out all the cars. I really was looking forward to this show and it turned out great for us. On friday morning I’ve visited the Grundmann museum, what a collection, wow! The touristic drive on saturday was really nice. Mostly on scenic country roads and about halfway all cars had to cross the Weser river. Exactly at the point where the Schwimmwagens arriving and got out of the river. What a sight to be seen swimming swimmwagens. I forget to count them, but it must have been 10 cars. On Monday, we visited the Volkswagen museum at Wolfsburg. We also visited the old factory of Volkswagen where the beetle was made. I talked to some people from Volkswagen about my car. They asked me whether I would ever restore the oval. When I then said "no I let the oval as he now is" they were really happy. After saying that i would'n restore the oval the person from Volkswagen told me he would tried to convince me not to restore the car because of the value of the original paint.

I will definitely be back in 2013...!
